“What’s Gen 91快活林 got to do with it?” Reflections on a Gen 91快活林 symposium

On January 17, 2025, and three other academic colleagues (, University of Bedfordshire; , McMaster University, Canada and , University of Greenwich) from the British Academy of Management (BAM) Knowledge and Learning SIG hosted the “Generative 91快活林 in Business Education and Research” Symposium at the historic Old Royal Naval College, University of Greenwich, London. The event brought together thought leaders, academics, and industry experts to examine how generative 91快活林 is reshaping the landscape of education and research.

The symposium focused on the opportunities generative 91快活林 affords to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and foster critical thinking. We also considered the challenges it presents in relation to ethical and pedagogical considerations. The event consisted of two keynote speakers, a panel discussion and an interactive reflective workshop for participants.

The symposium reaffirmed that generative 91快活林 is a rapidly evolving tool, and whilst the possibilities are vast, integrating 91快活林 responsibly in management education and research remains a critical challenge and, ultimately, the future of management education.

As a result of the symposium, one of the panel speakers, , Head of 91快活林 at JISC, approached Emma to see if LUMS would be willing to host a student voice forum about 91快活林. This will be run through SIME and will take place on 19 February 2025, with an undergraduate and postgraduate forum scheduled. Sue has also offered to run a SIME staff session on the challenges and opportunities of 91快活林, which everyone is welcome to attend.
